The preserve features a performance pavilion, dock, boathouse with observation deck, Great Lawn, the 1931 Burrows-Matson House, bayside oaks ceremony site, welcome center with an outdoor classroom, and the bayfront terrace and lawn.

Oscar Scherer State Park is a Florida State Park located between Sarasota and Venice, near Osprey. The address is 1843 South Tamiami Trail. There are more than 250,000 visitors a year.
